Our association, Bayt-Cham is the only association in Israel dedicated to the treatment and support of SMA patients and their families. We are the only organization in Israel to specialize in caring for this complex disorder.
'Bait Cham' ("warm home") is as its name suggests – a warm home for children with severe medical conditions who are in need of intensive round-the-clock care.
S.M.A is the number one genetic killer of children under the age of two. S.M.A is a group of inherited and often fatal diseases that destroy the nerves controlling voluntary muscle.
We give a warm and loving home to children who were abandoned by their parents at birth and a full support system to children being cared for by their parents. These are children who will need intensive care and treatment during all their lives.
Our aim is to provide children and their families with the best possible equipment along with a team of superb specialists and treatments tailored to their individual, specific needs and possibilities.
We cater to families from all over the country and for all origin, nationality and religion.
We are now working on opening a specialized hospital catering to children from all over Israel where we could also start treatment of a groundbreaking new drug which can elongate children's life and give them a much better quality of life. We are trying to connect to charities and organizations all over the world that might help us get closer to our goal and open the hospital as soon as possible. There is already a location, all the approvals and a full business plan we are just lacking on some funds to start the modification of the building and get all the needed medical equipment.

Charity main activities:
• To support S.M.A patients living in our premises and in hospitals , in all matters of

day to day activities such as eating, dressing, washing etc.
• To support families of S.M.A children who take care of their children at home.
• To provide patients and their families support in: medical counseling and aid, pre-medical treatment, psychological support, rehabilitative amenities.
• Advocating for patient and family welfare according to their own specialized needs.
• -regions and religions across Israel.
• Supporting and involvement in medical and scientific progress research.
• Keeping relation with similar organization and charities abroad.
